DDR: Be Afraid!

Dance Dance Revolution: The Return of East German Communism

Am I the only one who sees this? The Deutsche Demokratische Republik has returned!

DDR: Poison seeping into the minds of our active children?

Beware! -->

Subvert the angry class, said Socrates! And the Commies know -
-THEY KNOW!!!--

Yet the only way to do it is to look cool and get the pop culture first. Baseball, though 'All-American' just didn't cut it.

Why? Well, that's up for debate.

So! Rise up, you teeming proletariat!

Fight the DDR and all it's insidious mutations!

Sluff off the chains of Capitalist Communist Oppression!

Use your Vancouver Driver Fingers against the Red Menace!

Keep the world safe for... stuff. Yeah!

So don't wait until the new culture is impenitrable...

and incomprehensible...

and it's too late!

Looking for a date? Want to fear for your life?

Looking for a date?

Want to fear for your life, mental well-being, and more?

TWU has the class for you!

Study in-depth the Three Waves of Radical Feminist Philosophy: Personally endorsed by our Student Association's President-Elect, this class will convict you of being a bigoted, sexist, antediluvian monster, either towards others or towards yourself.

Spit on the face of authority!
Sacrifice your patriarchal baggage on Gaia's altar!

In summary, this class is Fun for All, especially the bitter, blatheringly egalitarian, or the intellectually bankrupt!

So act NOW!!!

Study Radical Feminism: A Fresh, New Facelift On a Very Worn-Out Perspective

Wake up! Kazoo!

Wake Up!

Revolution!

Get out your kazoos, we're marching on Ottawa!

Ok, so dream with me here, for a minute.

What are the collective purpose of lobbyists, 'special interest groups', and the like? Organizations pay copious amounts of money to persuade the politicoes in their direction.

Yay, corporate excess.

But what are the implications of this?

You cannot rely on so-called 'private' interests to look beyond their issues and address the good of the country. So is our democracy being subverted by piles of cash?

Well, we do have Vioxx.

But these times,

they are a changing.

So thanks be for the Conservatives!

For who else may triumph in the face of these one-track anti-citizens?

Yarrr!

And that is all there is to be said.

Don't Worry! The answer to your question.

Dear Mum,

I am enjoying Chemistry.

I am enjoying Political Studies.

You never really realize think about how easy it is to make high explosives, do you?

I didn't know these two fit together so well.

Well, that's all for now.

Luv,
B.

Wherefore art thou, microcosm?

Microcosm,

microcosm,

wherefore art thou

microcosm?

Thus said that little Shakey voice within me, the light of whom I thoroughly snuffed a moment later.

But my bizarre inner messing about with Mr. Speare got me thinking about TWU.

What is it like to be in the world and not of it? Do we know at TWU? We're clearly not in the world, but I'm hard pressed to see how we're terribly different as whole on a university-wide basis. We have inordinate numbers of unhealthily post-modern- PMists; from these spring pacifists galore, allowing for the celibate breeding of the sheltered and weak, the hopelessly detached... yet what is our response to this?

Demonstrations in the streets? A campain to reach out to others? G-8 bombings? Getting social scientists hopelessly drunk? A decent counterpart to the pro-abortion rallies we find at the University of Bacculian Copulation?

I wish!

Are we in despair?

GKC said, "Despair does not lie in being weary of suffering, but in being weary of joy."

Look closely for the evidence of the Christian Response from our collective Christian Culture. Where we ought to have the answers -where we really ought to have great answers- you can look in the petrie dish and see over-intellectualized rubbish, claimed by odd people, then misapplied. Help to the needy, not to our neighbour. Worse is a certain whiff of atmosphere not unique to our society, perhaps, but with no place at TWU; this atmostphere contains a collective whine: about relationships, faithless cries regarding God's 'love' and 'answers,' the future, family, the economy, red commy pinko lefties, existentialism; turning in and in and in and in and in and in.

Dante called that hell.

So do I.

But within Trinity, there is hope. All of Satan's array forces cannot crush it, yea though these sad and sorry excuses for an effective Christian Culture remain.

We have a response; we have an effective, joyous, world-changing idea and ideal within our heart:

Enthusiasm.

'En-Theos.'

In God.

Faith born anew, child-like out of strength, the divine paradox reawakened within our hearts.

Pray that we might have the privelege.

Hootenandhollerinnanny: The Wave to the Future

How many times have I put on a white, frilly wedding dress, gone out, and held a crowd at bay in search of the man of my dreams?
Well, not too many times, I'll grant you. But I'm glad that at least one person has. I'm even more that that all others, have not.

I realize this was a prank, even if she was sober. Yet with this talk of 'the ratio,' and bitter, bitter, bitter (did I mention bitter?) songs and words about singleness, what's an average TWU single male supposed to do?

So the only fair conclusion is that TWU is engaged on a campain to subconsciously implant arguements for polygamy in the hearts and minds of students. But is the ratio high enough...?

I know!

All we need to do is rouse out the POLS department to start a war, and the chem/phys people to make the boom-sticks, and we're set! I'll ... hmmm.
